Although I've left Guyana for more than 25 years -and I have much difficulties remembering the names to the people there, this is one that came to me rather quickly. As a little boy growing up in "back-street" I have always admired Debi Charran as a cricketer. One very good memory I have of him as a "spin-bowler" was when he opened the bowling for the West-Demerara team against the rival police force. I remember that very well. My sympathies to the family.
