Say-kay=The second phase cooking sada-rotie,on the fire-side vertically leaning on the fire-side mouth. On the gas/electric cooker it can be done in a (dry) frying pan with a cover.

Tah-Roo= The upper part in the mouth.Usually ichy when a cold starts.Bhai me Tah-Roo a prapa scratch me.

Phat-ke= This word is mostly used when relating a fight or other physical contact. It's a lift and throw of your opponent. Mek me wan fu phatke am when me get vex :)

These words are originally hindi/urdu text. One can consider himself lucky growing up with grandparents in the late 60's and 70's.

As for Jag-Jho-Ray, I think u r again right...or rather ur mother is. ( AH di suspect that u wouldah gat fu call the whole a Leguan to solve mi puzzle!!!) But anyway, u and Leguan r right. I have mixed 2 words: Jag-Jho-Ray and Jhat-ta-haa.

Now, how about da-kho-lay and puk-ney. U have  ansah fu dem?

Hey all

Here is an idea:

how about if we make a Word Table with 3 columns (A, B, C) like this:

Col A       Col B                 Col C

Term    Meaning          Application

like this:

Patke  Knack down   Me go patkeh yu.

The material is here so one just has to do the cut and paste. Once you do it - i will convert to HTML and post on the site's web page.

Maybe we can put it under ZGGS  under a heading "terms frquesntly used by ZGGS grads". Whatever yu all want. Just a suggestion.

a lookin for a volunteer:D
